Secure Sealing

The 09985 seal fits securely around the inside edge of the lid, creating a pressure-tight seal between the lid and the body of the pressure pot during canning and cooking. It offers high temperature resistance and efficient sealing. Compatible with Presto models 0174510, 0175107, 0175510, and 0178107.

Installation Steps

To install the seal, remove the old used seal and overpressure plug. Thoroughly clean the pressure cooker seal ring grooves and overpressure plug holes. Wash the new sealing ring and overpressure plug with warm soapy water, then dry thoroughly. Install the sealing ring until fully seated under the stopper and lock pin. Apply a light coating of cooking oil to the underside of the body lugs and sealing ring for easy opening and closing of the lid. Install the overpressure plug by pushing the side marked "TOP" into the opening from the bottom of the cover. Ensure the ring is fully seated by opening and closing the lid a few times.
