09985 Pressure Canner Sealing Ring for Presto 23 Quart Pressure Canner Parts

Very tight seal:

• Two lines for a strong seal on the IP cover
• Small gaps for lasting tightness
• Excellent performance

The sealing ring fits securely around the inside rim of the cover, forming a pressure-tight seal during canning and cooking.

Installation Steps:

1. Remove the old sealing ring and overpressure plug (located under the handle on some models). For safety and performance, replace the automatic air vent with each new sealing ring or sooner if needed.
2. Thoroughly clean the sealing ring groove and air vent opening.
3. Wash, rinse, and dry the new sealing ring before installing it section by section until fully in place.
4. Apply a light coating of cooking oil if needed for easier opening and closing of the cover.
5. Install the overpressure plug by pushing the round side marked "TOP" into the opening.
6. When putting the cover on the body, press down opposite the handle to compress the sealing ring and ensure easy locking.
