3-Piece Pressure Regulator for Presto Pressure Cooker Canner

Our 50332 3-piece pressure regulator is compatible with various Presto pressure cooker models. This pressure regulator consists of the pressure regulator body and two 5-pound weight rings, maintaining pressure at 15 pounds when fully assembled.

The canner pressure regulator is suitable for models like 01/C22, 01/C17, 01/C13, 171003, 174001, 171001, 171002, 0178107, 0178410, 0175107, 0174510, 0175510, 177001, 02/CAA12H, 02/CAA16H, 02/CAA20H, and others. It works with pressure canners ranging from 6 quarts to 23 quarts.

For low-acid canning such as vegetables, meat, poultry, and seafood, use 10 pounds of pressure for altitudes up to 1000 feet. For altitudes above 1000 feet, use 15 pounds of pressure. For high-acid canning like fruits, use 5 pounds of pressure for altitudes up to 1000 feet and 10 pounds for altitudes above 1000 feet.

To use the pressure regulator, place it on the vent pipe after the 10-minute venting period and start the processing time once it begins gently rocking. Adjust the heat to maintain a slow, steady rocking motion throughout the processing time.

When using the 3-piece pressure regulator on a Presto dial gauge canner, do not rely on the dial gauge for pressure indication. Only use the pressure canner regulator to monitor the pressure inside the canner.
